Purpose : Working for human rights and civil rights protection of govt., semi- govt. Employees and general public.
Aim/Objective/Mission : We take immense pleasure in informing you that national council for human rights and constitutional rights known as NCHRCR have joined hands with other like minded ngo's and have formed a new organization and registered under society act vide reg. Nos. 54581/2005 – Delhi in the name and style“ citizen forum on human rights for government, semi-government employees and general public” cfhr, this organization is now one.
Of the India's biggest ngo for protection and promotion of awareness about human rights and civil rights, under the leadership of prominent sr. Journalist, social worker and human rights activist, ln. S. K. Bhattacharjee, an active social worker from railway Virendra kaushik, Ramesh bansal (president, port users federation), R. P. Sharma (div. Secy., obc association, ahmedabad), Suresh malani (journalist), Upendra raval (social activist and translator - guide for indian citizen to fight against corruption, by shri n. Vitthal, cvc, new delhi and other philanthropic personalities from various fields .
Since till date there was no ngo involved in human rights protection of government, semi-government employees and, moreover, no government, semi-government employees were permitted to become a member of such organizations . Then such a thought arose that whether government and semi-government employees were bonded labour and had no rights to enjoy their constitutional rights provided by the indian constitution under section 14 to 24 and 32 – 35 and under united nations universal declaration on human rights adopted and proclaimed by the general assembly resolution no.217 a (iii) of 10 th december 1948 under the service conduct rules.
We in cfhr believe that every human has the same rights whether he is a civil citizen or a person serving in any govt.or semi govt.- organization. Trade union had their own limitations under the parameters of trade union acts to raise the voice to protect the constitutional rights and human rights of their members. After a great struggle of six months our dreams took a shape of cfhr and in this endeavor our honorary – human rights envoys played a vital role to enthuse us with all the energies and encouragements.
We proclaim and assure one and all that this united organization is now going to play an active and vital role and work for the protection of human righ and civil rights of the government, semi-government employees and the general public enunciated in the constitution of India and united nation global charter.
The citizen forum on human rights for government, semi-government employees and general public had held its first national convention in new delhi the capital of india on 25th April 06 .
To make our dream come true “lend your hands and hearts” to work for needy and down trodden people of India
